How much does everyone pay to get a piece of paper from immigration to open a bank ?
Answer summary
The cost of obtaining documentation from immigration for opening a bank account in Thailand varies significantly depending on the location and urgency. Many commenters noted that a residence certificate is typically free but can incur a fee of 300 to 500 baht for expedited processing. Experiences differ by region, with some areas charging fees while others offer the document at no cost. It's also highlighted that some banks might accept alternative documents like a long-term visa or lease agreement without requiring a residence certificate.

The CoR is free but can take upto 2 weeks so an expedited version cost 500 baht. No receipt 😂
That piece of paper is only validation of your residence address, it has no significance on wether the bank will agree to open an account for you. Ps it’s usually 500 bht
I reckon you will not get any concerning answer, since opening a bank is big stuff. I'm happy to have an account with a bank. But to own a bank is undoubtedly the best. Tell us about the proceedings. Can't wait 🙏
They are supposed to be free, but some immigration offices charge 300-500 baht per certificate. You can get the certificate the same day you apply for it.
These questions I swear 🙄 What paper? Proof of residency?? It’s free. If you need to ask a question how about you ask the actual question and not some vague BS, as if we are wasting YOUR time… also each provenance is different so you’ll have to include the area to get an accurate answer.
