Is it normal for my visa application status to remain 'Pending Document Check' for several days?

I applied for a DTV via Jakarta consulate Monday April 21 around midday and it is now Friday the 25th and the status has not changed from "Pending Document Check.". Is this normal?

I still have to apply for a dependent DTV if/after I get approved so looks like I will be in Indonesia longer than I was hoping. At least it's a beautiful place with wonderful people.

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the status of their DTV visa application submitted at the Jakarta consulate, which remains 'Pending Document Check' after four days. Responses varied, with some confirming this status is normal, citing typical processing times and potential backlogs due to public holidays, while others expressed concern about not progressing to 'Pending Approval'.

There's probably a backlog from Songkran. They only worked 2 days last week.
