Hi all. Getting conflicting information about how long the ฿800K needs to be in the bank before renewing retirement extension. Some say 3 months, some say 2. Will be apply for renewal in Phetchaburi province. Thanks. Would go and ask but I’m in another province for a bit. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
TLDR : Answer Summary
There is conflicting information about the required time that the ฿800,000 must be in a bank account when applying for a retirement extension in Thailand. Officially, it is stated that the funds should be in the account for 2 months prior to application. However, some individuals report that certain immigration offices, including Phetchaburi's, are enforcing a requirement for the money to be seasoned for 3 months at times. Additionally, Phetchaburi immigration has increased their scrutiny, now requiring a hand-drawn map to your residence and conducting home visits for verification.
