TLDR : Answer Summary
The duration to obtain a Muay Thai dtv visa in Vietnam varies. Generally, responses indicate it can take from 5 to 17 days, depending on the completeness of the application and further document requests. It's advised to remain in Vietnam during the application process to avoid potential issues, as applicants may be called for interviews. Additional requirements include proof of Muay Thai training enrollment, Thai bank account documentation, and related paperwork.
We done cooking classes.....you need to go Thailand first, enroll in classes, get classes sign up letter confirmation, DBD documents that prove Muay Thai school is legit. You then need copy of Thai owners ID Card signed. Also need Thai bank account with 500,000thb in it. Then you go to Vietnam/Laos etc and apply online. You cannot apply for DTV in Thailand. Bloody long hard process. Stick to 60day tourist, visa extensions and border runs
I know two people who've got a the DTV from Hanoi recently, one person it took 6 days the other it took 17 days as they had to upload more evidence and paperwork. However they were both going the work route not soft-power.
So in short, like everything, it will take as long as it takes. However I would very much suggest you stay in the country as I know someone who went to Taipei last year, they were called in for an interview and had gone back to Thailand. Visa application got cancelled.
it takes as long as it takes. Sometimes you are asked to upload more documents, which can delay the process. Check their website, they published e-visa applications taking between 5 and 10 days. Keep in mind you will need to stay in Vietnam until the DTV gets approved or not. That's what many are complaining about - loosing time and money whilst having to stay abroad and wait
