Hi guys! Have any of you applied in Bangkok for a covid visa? How long do you have to wait for it? Is that true that it’s usually on the same day? Thank you very much for help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The COVID visa, often referred to as a 60-day extension related to COVID, requires a prior normal 30-day extension. It's crucial to apply before the scheme ends on May 24. The approval process may involve receiving an under construction stamp initially and then returning for final approval, which can take about 14 to 30 days. It's also noted that the added 60 days usually start from the application date, and the processing location in Bangkok depends on the initial entry scheme.

Covid visa?
I think you mean a 60 day covid extension, which you can apply for after first having the normal 30 day extension. Needs to be applied for before the scheme finishes

.
With the 60 day covid extension, you would be given an under construction stamp, and then have to return for the final approval, circa 14-30 days later.
Note the 60 days added are usually from the day of application (unlike your 30 day extension, from your stamp date)
Note 2, where you go in Bangkok, depends on which scheme you entered Thailand on.
Visa exemption 30 days = IT Square Laksi Plasa, or
Tourist visa 60 days = Chaeng Wattana
