Hi all 

When you apply for a visa, how rigid or better still flexible is the timescales?

We are looking at the Elite Visa

How soon would we have to pay for said visa?

How quickly would we have to land in Thailand once the visa was approved?

For example, if payment was due ‘now’ is now anytime this week? 

Once approved, could we land in Thailand in 6 weeks time to finalise everything? 

The delay giving us the time to complete the sale of our home/ ship our belongings out to Thailand etc

Once you are approved you have 3 months to pay for the visa.

After that they will accept and arrange getting the visa into your passport.

Normally the processing timeframe for Elite visa is from 1-3 months depends on each nationality and also the number of application during that time. Once you get approval, I recommend you to pay the fee within 30 days after received it.

Once you’ve been approved you’ll get a notice to pay. Once paid and you have the acceptance email your visa is valid from that date. No minimum time from then that you’d have to enter Thailand. You’ll need to liaise with Elite to have the visa affixed to your passport on arrival.
