Went to get out 60 day visa exemption extended today for 30 days and it could not have been easier.

Went to Krabi Immigration office at 9am and it was getting busy already. We took with us photocopies of our passport and the visa stamp on our passport. We also took along a recent passport photo and 1900 bhats in cash.

The lovely lady there asssited us and we were then seated until we were call to the desk.

Easy peasy and it took us 30 minutes but we could see it could get busier as the day went on - by the way we are from the UK๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ

Same in Buriram, very easy, if you go at the immi at the football stadium.

Did they ask for TM30?

@Ryan *******
most Thai Immigration offices now require a TM30 address registration to be on file with Thai Immigration.

I am interested to know which offices do not.

Sorry, but you are to use the Thai Immigration office where you are living in Thailand. Cannot shop for a Thai Immigration office.

AND some will look at your recent history of staying in Thailand and ask for the TM30 filing when you apply for the 30 days extension of stay.

no. My thinking is that that is the form your hotel/accommodation needs to complete when you arrive?

The lady at Immigration asked us if our accommodation completed a TM30 and when I told her that they took photos of our passport on arrival she said she thought then that we would not need to complete a TM7.

When we got to the desk the man behind it printed off a completed form which we had to sign twice(that could have been the TM7?)

We waited 5 minutes after that and got our passports back with the new extension date on them and the lady pointed this out to us

TM30 is the registration of a foreigner staying and it is normally done online by the hotel/landlord which creates a PDF that can be printed when required

Same with my experience in khorat immigration, helpful staff, in and out in 40 minutes, no problem
