I went today to Chiangmai immigration offices to extend my Non Imm OA visa ( from UK) re entry permit.

I asked for 60 days due to COVID. I got a under consideration stamp told to come back in 15 days when they said would give me another 45 days.

It took a few hours some form filling in and photocopies cost 1900 baht they did ask to see my insurance which I have.

The volunteers at immigration were really very good it was my first visit. I was impressed with the process, and Thai staff.

Just posting as I have had help from this group and thought may assist.

well I guess your right and I got it wrong 😂

Paul Black. I can't see why anyone would step off a solid long stay visa to go on this crap ad-hoc extension that could be stopped at any time.

I’m not arguing. I thought this was the best way to do it as I’m leaving in April and don’t want to Put Money in my thai bank account.

It seemed a easy way to do it.

Thanks

Paul Black. That's fair enough. You didn't mention you were leaving soon, so you will be able to get covid extensions up until May 30. Now it makes sense

Phil Jones. I'm scratching my head on that one.
