Yesterday I received my COE in my email and today my Passport arrived with my O visa. I must say the Royal Thai Consulate in Los Angeles was great to deal with.... on our way on 29/October to ASQ .

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user recently shared their successful experience receiving their O visa and Certificate of Entry (COE) from the Royal Thai Consulate in Los Angeles, with many congratulatory comments and further inquiries regarding the visa application process. Other users discussed the specifics of applying for the visa and COE together, the types of O visas available (such as O-A and O-X), and the challenges faced with retirement visas. There were also discussions about travel insurance that covers COVID-19 and the differing treatment of applicants based on their relationships in Thailand.

You might try the Embassy, rather than Consulate.

A couple years ago I sent my Pp to RTC in LA from Las Vegas for a visa. I called to ask about a slight mix up and the official exceedingly I spoke with was helpful and I even got a follow up call from him. Very good experience.

Visa O or Visa O-A or O-X? Because what I heard, only Visa OA and OX are allowed to get into Thailand, VIsa O only, not.

priority is being given to those with important and jons and those with family in Thailand. There are limited ASQ slots.

but OA retirement are allowed....these people do not necessarily have families....I dont understand why OA retirement and O retirement are being treated differently.

I uploaded everything at once including air ticket, ASQ reservation, insurance, etc and the Consulate told me to send everything in the mail then.... once that occurred I received the COE online and my Passport one day later. Seamless!

Yeah I'm not sure why, but the Thai embassies in the US (NYC, LA, DC) are always really professional and easy to deal with.
