TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a 30-day extension on your visa exemption in Thailand, you cannot use the E-extension system online. Instead, you must visit the immigration office in person. The fee for the extension is 1900 Baht, and you must ensure that your accommodation is TM30 registered. Take signed copies of your passport detail page and your entry stamp. Some areas, like Krabi or Hua Hin, offer a one-stop service for easier processing, where you only need to provide your hotel information and passport.
The e-extension is mostly pointless. You pay extra money to submit everything online, and then have to take everything you submitted online and go to the immigration office in person, same as someone who doesn't use the e-extension system.
You can just go to the office and get your own extension for 1900 baht.
If you are near Krabi or Hua Hin you can go to the immigration and do *one stop* service. For an extra 100bht you basically only need your hotel name on a piece of paper and passport. The staff at the one stop counter do the rest. It is blissfully easy.
You cannot use the online e-extension. You need to visit Immigration in person to apply for the 30-days touristic extension. The fee is 1900 Baht. You need to be properly TM30 registered at your accommodation, you need signed in blue ink copies of your passport detail page and a copy of the entry stamp. The application form can be had at the Immigration office
