How can we deal with trolls in expat forums discussing Thai immigration and visa issues?
There seems to be a lot of Trolls that are commenting on this group that aren’t offering anything to the people asking legitimate questions about things they aren’t familiar with. My advice to them is if you can’t offer any credible advice you should shut the fuck up

It is because currently there is a lot of confusion regarding visas and the visa exempt program some people erroneously believe what they are saying is correct when in fact it isn't. But they believe what they're saying is correct and believe they are being helpful. Thus the people being confused and asking the questions in the first place. And other confused people providing incorrect answers. Not necessarily maliciously.

Paul De Graaf Their Country or the official Thai Government Immigration and Embassy WEB sites. Then compare that with what social media sites are saying if you need further clarification on a particular aspect. But you'll have at least a basic understanding of what's correct from the government sites. Making it easier to know what to discard from the social media sites.
