What should I do if my Non-Immigrant O visa is not approved before my flight to Thailand?

visa advice please? Flight booked for 25th September to Bangkok. Applied for 90 day non immigrant o visa to visit my wife and family. Visa not yet approved. I Was going to enter Thailand on a 30 day visa exempt and after 5 days in Bangkok book a 4 day trip to Laos then return to Bangkok. By which time the visa applied for in London could be activated when I return through Don Mueang. Been told cannot enter as visa exempt as I have a visa that must be approved in the UK first before I travel.So my friends any suggestions please?

you can enter thailand onvisa exemption as your visa is not yet approved. So no problem at all. Once your visa is approved, just leave thailand for any country (including neighbouring countries as well) and re enter thailand with your approved Evisa. Thats all

When I applied for my visa the embassy emailed me but the emails went straight to junk folder. I imagine you've checked that, but thought I'd mention it.

When you are out of thailand (you are in any country doesn't matter)and your visa approved, you can enter thailand with that and it will activate the date you enter Thailand. Just show your evisa (non o visa)

It could work, or you could get the visa approved before your flight, because sometimes consulates hold the approval until just before your departure date.

If it is not approved before you fly you certainly can come in Visa exempt because they will not know you have a pending application, and as you correctly stated if it is approved after you're here you can print it, exit reenter the country and activate an entry on that Visa
