Hello , good evening dear community, someone scam me on Facebook market and I paid him money to transfer 2 items for me from bangkok to koh samui but he never answered me again on chat and I think he never will , so do anyone knows how and where I can report him to the police and sue him? I have transactions to his bank account and chat history for one tv and refrigerator, if anyone knows I would be appreciated to telling me what to do ? Thank you so much 🙏🏽🙏🏽

I went to the bank this morning , report to them and fill some forms for refund and then go to the bo phut police station and did some stuff there , so I wait for the rest , thanks everyone for the advices 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Foreigners or Thais. It doesn't matter. Everyone has been scammed on a daily basis. You can call your bank and put a immediate freeze on that person bank account. Its the new Thai Cybercrime law. Just call your Thai bank. And then proceed to the police station with evidence. In that order.

File a police report at your local police station. That is the first step in doing anything, but make sure you have all the details, communications, and money transfer slip copies. The police go by your evidence. They might not do anything because of the small amount involved, but without filing a report nothing will happen. Also, take someone with that is fluent in Thai if you are not.

, I been scammed of FB marketplace, went to the police with the scammer details, bank account number etc...

Police response very difficult to get your money back etc...

Happened to me and other friends, must be a fun pastime for certain local people.. the large on line shops (eg. Lazada) are excellent, avoid giving any $$ that’s not face to face and remember, to Thais all Farangs have a money tree and it’s good to collect the fruit they don’t really need.

 it's okay to pay companies like Lazada by credit card or bank transfer when you order. They have a policy that if you are ripped off by a third party vendor who sells through the Lazada platform they will reimburse the money. I know. It's happened to me and Lazada had no hesitation in refunding me.
