Heya, so i'm living in Chiang Mai on a DTV visa (originally from UK) but i'm staying in short term rentals and hopefully will be travelling around a bit

Does anyone have experience easily acquiring a proof of residence and/or know of any services that make acquiring a motorbike license a breeze

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses acquiring proof of residence and a motorbike license while living in Chiang Mai on a DTV visa. Community comments suggest visiting local visa services and driving schools that can assist with these processes. It's highlighted that having an international driving permit (IDP) showing a full motorbike license can simplify getting a Thai license. Also mentioned is the TM30 registration requirement, with opinions on how to navigate it.

Go to chiang mai visa shop in the old city, will sort these out for you easily

If you have an IDP from the UK that shows you have a full motorbike licence (category A) then it should be a fairly straightforward process at the local DLT office. If you don't have a full motorbike licence then you will need to sit the Thai motorbike driving test

Great service and the owner is a great guy. He does fret over the dress code at Govt offices. Lol Quite a few DTV people taking test with them when I was there.

Everyplace you stay should register you if that is not a option then.

1. Ask a Thai friend to register you

2. Pay any random Thai person on the street to register you. I doubt it would cost much.
