How can I apply for a 7-day extension for my education visa before leaving Thailand?

I have a letter from my language school to terminate my education visa on December 1... as my flight out of country is on December 4, I need the 7 day extension from Immigration when I submit the letter.

I saw on another post, " buy a 7 day get out of thailand stamp for 1900baht and leave within a week.".

Is there a form I need prepared for the 7 day extension? Or, do I simply tell them when I submit the letter and pay the fee?

Also, can I do this tomorrow on November 30 when the termination date indicated in the letter is the following day?

actually most schools I know (that are real schools not visa mill schools) will write the date the student is leaving the country as the actual date they stop studying. Termination letters from those schools are free, as is canceling your extension at the immigration office.

that is what I would do. It is not uncommon for schools to do this to help their students out.

you can't do it on the day after your paperwork says you stopped because that'd mean you're on overstay. You should have just had the school write that you were stopping on the 4th when you were leaving. You could have went in early they would have canceled your ED extension and gave you a new stamp dated for the 4th.

The 7 day extension is really an "extension denied" stamp and it uses the same TM.7 as a regular extension application does.

you're gonna get a stamp that says you are allowed to stay until the 1st.

Then you either overstay for two days and pay the 1000baht fine at the airport OR you pay the 1900baht and get a 7 day extension denied stamp.
