TLDR : Answer Summary
Many respondents emphasize that foreigners can successfully obtain a Thai driver's license by going through the Department of Land Transport (DLT) and handling the process themselves. Important steps include preparing required documents, such as a medical certificate and proof of residence. Some commenters suggest that it's straightforward and inexpensive, taking about 2 hours and costing around 200 baht. Self-study for the driving test is recommended, with suggestions on doing online training and booking appointments online.

Go to your local DLT office and take the test yourself, TBH, if you can't pass the Thai driving test you should not be allowed anywhere near a motor vehicle.

You will need a health certificate plus a certificate of residence from immigration

- Do the online training and bring the QR code as proof of completion.

- Do online appointment and bring the QR for your booking

- Copy of current licenses
