Hello people!

What is the process of getting Thai Driving license (for DTV)? I already have driving license in my country and international driving permit (Car + Motorcycle). I want only motorcycle permit for Thailand.

Is any Letter of Residence needed from immigration? If it is, then what is the process?

And is it possible to get the Letter of Residence without any rent contract for accommodation, for example, If I am staying in hostels (not monthly contract), will this be fine?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a Thai motorcycle driving license, you need to present your international driving permit along with a residence certificate from immigration. You can acquire the residence certificate without a rent contract if you are staying in hostels, but you will need to provide a TM30 form and a medical certificate. Based on community comments, services like Fatboy's Thai Drivers License Service in Bangkok can assist with the process.

If you stay for 90 days, you must report for 90 days.

You also need a TM30 to apply for a residence permit from the Immigration Bureau and a medical certificate from a clinic. If you have an international driver's license, it's easy to transfer.

Or if you'd like us to assist you with your residence permit, we can help.
