How can I legally manage my e-commerce business if Thai customers can place orders?

DTV and online business issue

Hello, I have a quick question.

I have an e-commerce online and I sell worldwide. Sometimes it happens that some thai people buy through my website or social media. Not many, but technically everyone can find my store and place an order.

I know I can’t sell to thai people on DTV, but the thing is that I can’t even block them from doing it...

By the way, my team can ship from Europe to Thailand. It’s not a task that I personally do, but the business is in my name. I don’t sell digital products so we send everything via international couriers. Money always comes on my business bank account.

How can I solve this issue?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on handling orders from Thai customers on their e-commerce platform, given that selling to Thai individuals could violate local business regulations. While some commenters suggest practical solutions such as blocking shipping to Thailand or adding high shipping fees, others clarify that as long as the business does not specifically target Thai customers and predominantly serves a different market, it may not be an issue. There are various strategies offered to navigate this situation effectively.

You can't work for a Thai company, selling stuff to Thai customers is not working for a Thai company.

Usually there’s a way to block orders from certain countries

You could add a crazy high shipping fee to Thailand that nobody would pay

That won't be an issue. Though Thailand hasn't given specific conditions, most European DNVs state that local sale should be less than 20% of your total sale. At the end of the day, you can do business with them just like random clients. The only thing not allowed is, if your website specific target Thai's. Chill, relax. The embassy won't object.

Just write a cover letter stating that your business mostly involves American/European customers. As soon as you don't mention u got hai customers, you should be fine

As the business is not registered in Thailand it might not be a problem after all. If you want to make sure, exclude Thailand from the online shop. As the owner you should now how to, or if not, have somebody in the team that knows how to.

You can usually turn shipping off for specific countries if you’re drop shipping a physical item. You could also just cancel those orders if need be.
