Hi everyone,

I’m planning to apply for the DTV visa as an American selling on Amazon and eBay. I run the business under my own name (sole proprietor), filing taxes in my name with a Schedule C (profit & loss form for a business).

I’ll be applying electronically through the Thai Embassy in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Does anyone know if Amazon and eBay stores screenshots (that show my name) are accepted as sufficient proof of a business? Or do they usually require additional documents like W9 from Amazon, bank deposit records from Amazon or IRS tax filings?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone with similar experience or who’s gone through this process. Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
An American expat is inquiring about the necessary documentation for applying for a DTV visa through the Thai Embassy in Ho Chi Minh City, specifically regarding selling on Amazon and eBay as a sole proprietor. They question whether screenshots from their online stores will be sufficient proof of business ownership or if additional tax and bank documents are required. Comments suggest alternative approaches, such as applying as a freelancer and providing invoices instead.

Make it simply by applying as a freelancer. Show invoices and bank withdrawals. Forget about the tax docs and business registration stuff. I heard Hanoi is less strict than HCM.
