Thanks to everyone who helped yesterday regarding information on how to open a Thai current bank account.

In line with advice I’ll try and use an agent.

Does anyone know an agent based in or around Udon Thani.

pdc visa plus are a good agency not sure if they do bank accounts but would no doubt give good advice.they are in Udon.

I have a bank account in Thailand myself.

Recently I saw a new product released from Kasikorn Bank called “Pay&Tour”. Seems like a good product for short term guests. local debit card + atm access + scan app.

 they won’t do it unless I have a non immigrant visa. Tried that.

 Then there is only one possibility: An agent.

Best chances for finding an agent at reasonable cost: Pattaya.

You will have a hard time finding one in Isan who doesn’t charge the skin off your face.

Fio..My first Bkk Bank..ok..long time ago.30 years...no visa and gave address Honey Hotel.soi 19...Still have that account and others...appreciate times have changed..
