TLDR : Answer Summary
The user opened a Kasikorn Bank account and finds it easy to deposit money from their Wise account or cash. However, they are struggling with the complexities and costs associated with transferring money out of Thailand. The responses suggest using the bank's app for international transfers, exchanging Thai baht at currency exchange services, and highlight the need to visit the bank physically for international transfers, which may incur fees.
From my experience, if you are transferring money out you have to physically go into the bank, the minimum cost to transfer to a bank overseas is 1000 baht from memory
Thanks ! Aha, so I think if you exchanged it to your savings, THEN you can maybe use it for international transfer ? (Is that option available to you when you tap on "view all" on the homepage ?
I did this long time ago as a test. This works ofcourse. But nowadays you can do it youself with the app. Kasikorn- and Bangok bank for sure. Other banks I don't know but think most of them too.
I think it depends on the account, I have a foreign currency account with bkk bank, I have to physically go in to if I want to send my aud dollars back to Australia, maybe savings accounts are different,
You can exchange it on the app, no problem, from the fcb account to your savings

And why should you tranfer it back anyway ? SHOULD you want to leave Thailand permanently, you always can use the Kasikorn app for international transfer. Okay, it costs a bit more but usual it's a one time case only. And already said, debitcard works almost everywhere.

Withdraw Thai baht, go to SuperRich, change to another currency, head to airport, declare if over 20,000 dollars, have proof of origin.

Thx....
I found also a way now so far...
Cost is like 1240 Bath
For one time ok..
The only thing left I did not like is that I have to claim that this is money earned in Thailand...
Kasikorn app: Home page > View all > scroll down to "international services" > International (y'r credentials pop up) > next > choose country > accept the statement > choose "Transfer with account number via SWIFT".
I tried this a couple of years ago with 100β¬ also as a test.
For the test I only wanted to know if it worked. Did not pay attention on the cost because I almost was sure, IF needed, this would be a one time transaction. Maybe you can also test it once to be reassured. π
well if you don't lay out the specific details of your situation you're only going to get a general answer so if you want something a little more concrete how about laying it all out including how much money are we talking here?
