TLDR : Answer Summary
A user expressed gratitude for helpful advice received in a group about extending their OA visa by 12 months, learning that the process is straightforward. However, a commenter clarified that if the extension was obtained by exiting and re-entering Thailand before the visa expired, it does not constitute a true extension but rather a new entry stamp.

Extensions are given at the immigration office :/

If all you did was exit/re-enter the country before the visa expired and got another year 'admitted until" stamp you didn't extend anything.

You just got another year stamp like that visa provides. :)

Still glad you got it :P
