TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquires about agents who can assist in arranging a bank account in or near Udon Thani for a 60-day visa. Comments suggest that it's not necessary to use an agent, with one recommending KASIKORNBANK near the immigration office. Another commenter mentions agents available in Pattaya who can open accounts for any visa type for approximately 4000-5000 THB without the need for mandatory insurance.

sorry but i don't know any agents in Udon. I could only direct you to a few agents in Pattaya who would open a bank account for you with the Bangkok Bank on ANY visa and even on a visa-exempt. Price is something like 4000-5000 THB. No mandatory insurance, no fu...g around

It is very difficult by now, since about two years. The rules have tightened . . . you can't get a bank account on a tourist visa or on an exempt-visa entry, if you try that by yourself. It is not possiblen any more . . . . .However it is possible with the help of agents. There are some - but in Pattaya - they open a BANGKOK BANK bank account for you on any visa and even on visa-exemption, for 5000.- THB

if you try that by yourself, most banks only let you open a bank account if you buy an accident insurance for 5000.- THB. So you lose absolutely NOTHING if you use an agent - with an agent you needn't buy that friggin insurance πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜‚πŸ˜Ž
