Would you please recommend a agent that can help me open a bank account in Bangkok? I have read about a couple of popular agents but they are based in Pattaya so I'm not sure if they can open accounts in BKK.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses recommendations for agents who can assist expats in opening bank accounts in Bangkok. Some commenters mention that while they've successfully opened accounts in Pattaya, there are agents in Bangkok who might be more expensive. Specific agents are suggested, including 'One Stop Visa', known for their expertise, along with references to specific visa types that may aid in the account opening process. Tips are provided for those facing language barriers when dealing with banks in Bangkok.

What visa do you have? Get you paperwork together and try to apply yourself . It doesn't matter where your account is. The bank will set up the app on your phone so you can do everything you need with the app and it's free. A card is 400 bht a year and you get hit with fees if you use it away from your local branch. It's not that hard if language is a barrier take a Thai friend better still go to her bank. In bkk there should be staff with good English. Don't forget it's Thailand they have the power 555 l always start with can you help me

He is in Pattaya. Bangkok is much more expensive. He uses Bangkok Bank. I'll message you his email to me explaining how everything works if you'd like. Someone on here said it may be 50 cents extra per withdrawal away from Pattaya but if you use your phone app it is free. He can explain it much better than I can. Search One Stop Visa on You Tube and you can watch some interviews with him and several different channels. He knows his stuff and is very well known and reputable. Good luck with it.

Thank you for the insight. Do you then live in Pattaya? If you live in BKK do you find it inconvenient to have your bank in another city?
I see. Do you have a recommendation for which bank to open the account with? Or do you think they are the same in term of service level, support etc...?
