TLDR : Answer Summary
A user sought advice on applying for a Thai visa from India, prompting various responses about experiences and processes. Discussions included details on types of visas (like DTV), payment methods, particularly challenges with electronic payments from India, and suggestions to consult local FB groups for help. Notably, some users shared their past experiences with applying for different types of Thai visas, highlighting issues faced due to payment limitations.
Richard Barney payment receipt......I'll look for that on the sight. But it does say India doesn't have the wherewithal to transfer electronically, at one time I got the message that one option was courier......so I saved the application, (cant chance it timing out again) and when I went back, that message was replaced with can't do anything!!
The difference is applied for a “non o visa” in the past a “single entry tourist”, both times I was given a payment receipt (one I need to take to the bank and then to the embassy),
- Bank provides demand draft
- post that a submissions is needed in person or via an agent to the embassy
I think I can find you an agency who doesn’t charge much to submit it for you, you still will have to courier them the demand draft and receipt
Lynnette Munoz I am a Brit, living in India, and trying to apply for a visa to Thailand. Need to speak to someone who has applied from India. I can't pay electronically from India or rather, there is nothing set up to enable this
Dobby The visa cost is pretty much the same everywhere now, its all done online. Recently I contacted quite a few of the consulate there and ai was not impressed with their attitude. You will get to talk with Indians and keep in mind that indian passport holders face different and stricter requirements when applying for visas. You didn't mention what type of visa you want.
