TLDR : Answer Summary
A Jamaican citizen residing in Korea can apply for a Thailand eVisa through the official eVisa website (https://thaievisa.go.th/). Although Jamaica is considered for a Visa on Arrival option, details are still being clarified regarding this policy. To obtain more personalized guidance, checking the Thai embassy in Korea is advisable, as it may require specific procedures for non-citizens. Additionally, there were several discussions about the possibility of marriage to a Thai citizen as a way to secure a Non-O visa, but opinions vary on this approach.

Check the Thai embassy website in Korea. As a non citizen ( permanent resident) where I live, I have to present myself to the embassy even though the country of my passport, don't need a visa for Thailand.

not sure maybe because of the excessive corruption & crime here ๐Ÿ™ˆI'm swiss * don't need visa* but live in south africa, * I think also free visa for south africans*

but I have to present myself in person to the Thai embassy that's over 2500kms away. Checked with visa agents etc, no go...must go personally.

I better practice my Thai to make a good impression ๐Ÿ˜‰

Everybody can go to the evisa website, answer 3 questions, and get to know if evisa is avaiable.

Or what kind of visa is best.

By living in Korea, do you mean your a resident there and can provide proof of residency documents? If you're not then you'll have issues applying through that website.

Unless the OP is in South Korea illegally then they shouldn't have any problems applying for a Tourist Visa. You don't need to be a permanent resident to apply for a Tourist Visa for Thailand.

@Steve ******
Not Permanent Resident - just Resident. And that very much depends upon where you are applying.

I canโ€™t speak for Korea but have been rejected while attempting to apply in Malaysia and Singapore.
