Good afternoon or Good Evening depending on your location.

Am I right in saying that the free 45 day visa has now finished as I’m very confused now?

Thanks for any help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The free 45-day visa exemption for entry into Thailand has ended and was discontinued on March 31, 2023. Travelers can now enter Thailand with a standard 30-day visa exempt stamp upon arrival. Those looking to stay longer can apply for a 60-day tourist visa, which is extendable by an additional 30 days.

If you are confused now you will even be more confused when you are here

ended end of march

The 45 day visa exempt stamp finished many months ago, it has since returned to the original 30 days visa exempt stamp upon arrival in Thailand.

2023.

Not a big problem though.

Apply for a 60 day touristvisa, at

thaievisa.go.th

Which even can be extented with 30 days.

Why confused...? It finished months ago simple.

It's not a visa. It's arriving without any visa. It's been over for many months. Back to the regular 30 day visa exempt.

you can apply for a visa before you travel to Thailand or arrive and then apply for a 30 day extension at an immigration office. Personally I'd get the visa first so you don't have to worry about it while you're here.
