TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about experiences related to obtaining a Smart Visa specifically for wellness or medical tourism enterprises, but clarifies confusion regarding its duration. Several comments provide insights into the Smart Visa process, the need for consultation with the BOI (Board of Investment), and questions about eligibility for medical procedures.

You need to be talking to the people at the BOI who implement the smart visa program

the smart visa is new - for enterprise, entrepreneurs and executives of certain industries- it’s very lengthy requirements for it usually millions or high salary requirement etc - need to complete enterprise incubators programs etc

but if you have strong credentials for start up there’s a shorter than 4 yr one

If you mean just after the W-P/Visa is canceled- that's what I plan to do but not sure if I will get it or what it's based on. And, if I arrange the operation a few days after last day of work, is it any different than if I leave the country and come back on a 30-day? (US passport)

I am guessing you're on extensions of stays from the immigration office correct?

Actually I'd like to know about this. I'm going to have an elective procedure, requires general anesthesia and about 1-month with arm severely limited mobility. Doe that count and what can I get for that visa wise?
