Does the embassy see my visa history when processing my application? Or is it only the immigration officers?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question revolves around whether embassy staff can access an applicant's visa history while processing visa applications. Various comments indicate that while embassy staff may not have full access to the immigration system, they might still see certain details about an applicant's visa history, such as previous visas or entry and exit records. It appears that immigration officers generally have more complete access to this information. Furthermore, applicants are required to disclose prior visas on their applications, and issues may emerge at immigration if there are discrepancies in the applicant's history.
I wondered the same thing. Like, if it would be an issue to apply for the DTV (especially for remote working) after holding a previous visa. To me, I’d think that would be a problem if people were in Thailand on let’s say an education visa for a year, then apply for the DTV and show 6 months of work history/bank statements…it will show that the person was previously working remotely while on another visa. But, I guess that would be the same issue for a tourist visa…and it seems people are still getting the DTV, so, maybe it is fine.

You are clearly asked in the online application about previous visas and visits to Thailand

In Taipei, when I had my interview the Thai officer had access to my history of visits. Had a printout to hand.
Oh that is more access than I would have expected. Thinking about ot logically though and watch various documentaries Consular Officers at UK Embassies could see UK immigration history of applicants.
She wondered why I had so many short visits and transits for many years from Tokyo. I said cos it is half the cost with Thai Airways to travel via Bangkok to London than a direct flight. She smiled and said she understood. She was from Thailand and made the final decisions on approvals there. Immigration and the embassy are going to be sharing info.
With all visas though they check your history of entry to the country and if you have a criminal record there. Taipei was same day approval and within 6 hours often. They would need instant access to immigration history.

What about previous passports with different passport id's, but same person?

They could request for an interview to inspect your passport and that’s exactly what happened to me. Discovered I had many in/outs. But that doesn’t affect my approval.
Anonymous participant Singapore. Someone just posted Jakarta Embassy calling for interview. I think it’s getting common now. Don’t risk it. Such a waste of time and money.

Interesting question about who has access to what. MFA at Embassies obviously do not have full access to the Immigration System. There was a post the other day though that they saw someone already had a METV that had not expired yet. Refused DTV and said wait until METV is finished. Then again other embassies have issued DTV with live METV, Ed, B
Nobody knows, but immigration does. If there's anything wrong with your history, problems may arise at the border; not necessarily during the application process.
