Hi all, first post on this highly recommended page.
Currently jumping through paperwork hoops for a Non-Imm "O" visa.
Anyone know if the Canadian consulate office in Chiang Mai issues statements of pension income and if so is there a charge?
Used to be a notorized letter from my Canadian financial institution was sufficent when getting the visa in Canada. Everything's online now which took my service level from 3 days to 3 weeks :(
Thx.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the issuance of pension income statements by the Canadian consulate office in Chiang Mai for a Non-Immigrant "O" visa application. It suggests previous requirements included notarized letters from Canadian financial institutions, and the author shares frustration over current online processes extending service times. Comments provide helpful responses, indicating that the Bangkok Embassy can issue such letters, and that the Chiang Mai consulate is responsive and charges a fee for the affidavit of income.
