Does the 15000 USD need to be in my primary bank account? I have a HYSA that has always met that standard, it’s where I keep most of my hard cash.

I don’t think it should make a difference but want to get clarification.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring if the required $15,000 for a Thai visa must be kept in their primary bank account. They have funds in a High-Yield Savings Account (HYSA) and seek clarification on whether the location of these funds matters. The comments suggest that as long as the funds are readily accessible, it should not be an issue, but there is uncertainty regarding specific bank account types like fixed-term deposits.

If the money is instantly accessible (no notice required) it should be OK, but really a question for the consulate you will use

No idea how a HYSA works, but fixed-term deposits are not eligible.
