Does my bank account's country need to match my application country for visa funds?

Hi there, does the country of the bank account with both my 500,000 baht (equivalent in EUR) savings and freelance invoice payments received have to be in the same country as the country I'm applying from? I.e. I have a bank account with a registered address in the EU from when I lived there, but will be applying from Australia where I am a citizen. I work events in the EU during summer, which is why I get paid into that one
