We are 2 self employed, flying to get DTV visas in Philippines.

Do we need to stay at Manila and visit the Embassy or we can stay only at the islands and do the entire process online?

In an online case, do we get the DTV visa on the email?

It's not a phisical page in our passports?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The process for obtaining a DTV visa while in the Philippines does require a visit to the Thai embassy in Manila, as the online evisa option is not available for this country. After applying, if approved, you will receive an emailed document to print and present upon entering Thailand, rather than getting a physical visa stamped in your passport.

I travelled to Manila in December and once you select Philippines as the country it states you need to visit the local Thai embassy there as the evisa is not an option for the Philippines.

I was under the impression the embassy in manila only accepts local citizens and resident with visas?

Yes. You can be anywhere in the Philippines

You will apply via the Evisa system, from the Phillipines.

When you are approved you will print out the emailed document and enter Thailand.

Show the printed document with your passport.
