TLDR : Answer Summary
The current guidance suggests that individuals on retirement visas need to proactively apply for their extension, as there is no automatic extension being provided until the end of July.

There is no "automatic extension"

We are advising people who are on long term extensions to just GO and get your extension like normal. The immigration offices have almost no one there (other than long term people like yourself) AND you'll be in and out quickly.

What I meant by no "automatic extension" is;

There is no stamp or anything you'll get in your passport IF you decide NOT to go get your yearly extension on time and decide to use the amnesty program.

You will simply wait until the news comes out as far as what people who took the "amnesty" need to do when it starts to run out.

No one has any idea how this will really end, (mostly because nothing has been written yet about it) :O
