TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are a recovered non-vaccinated traveler entering Thailand, you are generally required to undergo a 5-day quarantine. However, it's important to note that the hotels available for alternative quarantine may differ from those allocated for the sandbox program. Be sure to choose a hotel that is approved for alternative quarantine, rather than simply booking a SHA Plus hotel intended for sandbox travelers.

I know i need to quarantine 5 days. What I mean is that apparently the hotels for alternative quarantine are different than for sandbox. I booked a SHA + but it is not in the list for alternative, only for sandbox...

you cannot quarantine unless the hotel is specifically designated as an AQ hotel and sells special 5 day quarantine packages. You can't just book 5 days regularly at a hotel.

You mention sandbox, which is pretty much only in Phuket. There are no more quarantine hotels in Phuket. Only in Bangkok as far as I know.

This is from the TAT website relating to T&G. The last dot point relates to the certificate of recovery which can be submitted in lieu of one vaccine dose.

It states that you need 1 dose post infection. This person is asking for non-vaccinated. Why do you say the recovery certificate negates the vaccine? That is not what's written there.

Non-vaccinated must undertake five days hotel quarantine.

Unvaccinated is unvaccinated. You are required to do 5 days quarantine if you enter and you are not vaccinated.

5 days quarantine at the moment. Lucky it’s not 10 like I had to do in January.

I think before if you recovered in the last 90 days it was also under test and go?
Brandon ************
@Joakim *******
no. That's never been the case. The rule was if you got 1 dose of vaccine within 90 days of recovery it would count as fully vaccinated. But just recovery means nothing.

Not saying you are wrong for Thailand but in France for instance a recovery counts for one jab, it's converted on your vaccine pass

the Thai guidelines are very specific. You have to have received 1 dose AFTER recovery for it to count, and you must have a medical certificate of recovery also.

Agree fully, I was only stating some countries consider a recovery is equivalent to a jab
