Are there any Merchant Seaman here? Would we qualify for remote work? I have a work rotation of 60 days on the ship and 60 days vacation. I Work a total of six months a year and I spend my off time in Thailand ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ. I have been doing this for almost 2 years now and I never had any issues but last time I was stopped and questioned about my frequent visits even though I have never overstayed. I donโ€™t even get extensions because I only have 60 days vacation so it worked out perfectly. I want to continue to spend my off time in Thailand so i guess I should try to get this visa. Iโ€™m currently on the ship until early March. Also could I get it digitally without going to an embassy?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Merchant Seaman is inquiring about the possibility of qualifying for a remote work visa in Thailand, given their work schedule of 60 days on the ship followed by 60 days off in Thailand. Despite having spent time in Thailand without overstaying, they experienced questioning during their last visit regarding their frequent entries. They wish to secure appropriate visa status to continue spending their vacation time in Thailand, and are considering the option of obtaining a visa digitally without visiting an embassy.
