TLDR : Answer Summary
An inquiry was made regarding the requirement for Irish citizens to take a TOEIC test when applying for a Non-B visa and work permit in Thailand. Responses indicated that TOEIC is generally not required for Irish nationals, contrasting with other countries where it might be necessary.

If you are from South Africa or a non native country then you need Toeic for teaching. Irish should be fine

Almost every Ministry of Labor has a list as well in English as in Thai with all the papers needed to apply for a work permit. Best thing to do is visit your local office. There are some differences in requirements of offices in the country so it is from behind my keyboard hard to tell what the list is in your place.
