Do I need to worry about my 90-day report if I'm outside Thailand for part of that period?

Planning my summer vacation. I will complete the renewal of my yearly extension of stay for purposes being over 50 and retired as well as my 90 day report the same day on June 26. I will travel back home USA 02 September and not back until 04 October missing my 90 day report which is due something like 25 September. From what I’ve read I just start my 90 day clock on entering Thailand and not worry about missing the September report. Am I correct ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is planning their summer vacation and is inquiring whether they need to worry about missing their 90-day report while traveling outside Thailand. Responses confirm that the 90-day reporting is only required when present in Thailand, and upon re-entering the country, the 90-day clock will start anew.

Do not forget to apply for the Re-Entry Permit, you can do directly after the 1 year is stamped in your passport.

Got it. Thanks guys... I think I have the whole process down now. I asked once before about this and coming back within my 90 day window but this is the first time actually being out of country and missing the 90 day window all together.

Correct

Your 90 day report is done every 90 days after you are in Thailand. If you are not in Thailand for 90 days then you do not file the report
