TLDR : Answer Summary
The Softpower (Muay Thai) visa application can generally be submitted online, meaning you do not need to visit the embassy unless an interview is requested. However, practices can vary by embassy; some might require an in-person interview regardless of online application. It's important to note that applicants must be located within the jurisdiction of the consulate they intend to use.
I did my DTV visa at the royal thai Embassy/consulate General and got approved there, they don't do appointments there any more they use to do that but not any more.
Some embassies might approve everything online, some might require an interview in person cuz they have doubts, some seem requiring an interview to anyone who applies. I got asked for an interview when I applied so I had to physically go to the embassy.
