Hi, if your heading over with your thai wife and you go through the thai side of immigration, would you still need to provide the same details (accommodation, cash etc). More interested on the cash side as will have booked accommodation and filled in tdac anyway. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When entering Thailand alongside your Thai wife through the Thai immigration line, the requirements for proof of accommodation and cash can vary. Many expats have reported not being asked for cash or extensive documentation if they are accompanied by a Thai spouse. However, it is advisable to carry a modest amount of cash (around $700 USD) as a precaution, especially if you have a history of frequently returning to Thailand or are on a visa exemption. Generally, those on a Non-O visa due to marriage to a Thai national encounter fewer checks. While the enforcement of regulations may vary, many travelers have successfully passed through immigration without needing to show any financial proof.

No matter which queue you take, checks are always possible. That aside, I sometimes accompany my partner to the Thai channel, and the Immigration staff are always OK with it.
Sean Knowles What the other guy said. It is not a common practice. This only happens if you have multiple reentrys in a row and overstay. Which I have both but they still never asked me or anyone else I could see in line. They're trying to get people through the line fairly quickly. I have been stopped once for not having a booked onward travel ticket. I had to purchase one before moving through.
They'll only request cash if they're looking to deny you entry. If you have a history of living in Thailand on back to back visa exemptions then maybe carry the cash, if you're on a non-O based on being married to a Thai wife then they won't ask you for cash.
