TLDR : Answer Summary
If you have an Affidavit Income Letter from your home country's Thai Embassy, you are not required to maintain a specific amount in a Thai bank account for your retirement visa renewal. However, if you cannot obtain the affidavit for your next renewal, you would then need to either have 800,000 baht in your Thai bank account for two months or demonstrate steady monthly income of 65,000 baht through international transfers for the year leading up to your renewal application.

, your embassy also offer to give you a affidavit letter to confirm your income. You therefor donโ€™t need to prove income or funds in any other way as long as you can meet the general requirement of 65K baht a month. The affidavit letter from your embassy in Bangkok is valid for six months and you use this for your coming application for Extension of Stay.

You don't even need a Thai bank account as long as you can get an affidavit of income from your embassy in Thailand for a new yearly extension application.

In case you cannot get an affidavit for next year, you need to have 800k baht in a Thai bank account for 2 months or 65k monthly international transfers for 12 months as of the application date for your next yearly extension.

I went to the CM immigration to enquire about the renewal. I was told by the officer. Option 1, fly back to Singapore to obtain the affidavit letter from the Thai embassy and apply for the retirement visa again (hence not a renewal). Option 2, deposit 800k in Thai Bank and process the renewal in CM. Deposit 6500k x12 monthly is not possible (it cannot be accumulated nor backdate of that 12x transfer for this renewal or extension. These are the 2 options provided to me. But I will try to use my pension statement (fund outside of Thailand) to see whether it works or not. I will update accordingly. At the meantime, are there any other options that you may share(if any)๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

, yes, that is the immigration office depending. But as clearly in police order, you can appeal if they ask you to show bank account while you have 100%-covered embassy affidavit..
