Hello, I am a currently employed remote worker. I have applied for DTV from the US. I have a salary of around $70k yearly. Do I have to have 17,000 in savings or will 6 months of pay stubs and W2 suffice as proof? I watched a couple of YouTubers interviewing Naruchai Ninnad with Thailand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and I thought your monthly salary would be proof of financial requirements. Am I wrong?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among commenters is that for the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) application, having a bank balance of 500,000 baht (or equivalent) is the only financial requirement, making income proof such as pay stubs or W2s irrelevant to the application process.
I’m applying from the US and supplying a letter from my job I can work remote from Thailand and also providing 3 months statement (just 1st page) of my savings showing I have $500,000 baht…I don’t think your W2 or pay stubs are needed
You are wrong. There is zero income requirement for DTV and income doesn't mean anything. The ONLY financial requirement that all applicants must meet is to be able to prove 500,000 baht or the equivalent amount required by the embassy you are using in a bank balance. Income and pay stubs are not sufficient, even if you make $100,000 per month. No bank account balance, no visa.
