TLDR : Answer Summary
When enrolled in a DTV-approved Muay Thai course in Thailand, it is generally not necessary to continue attending the course after the initial 6-month term, unless you are extending your visa through immigration, which may require proof of continued gym membership. Some students choose to renew and continue training, but for those who only need the visa, there seem to be no issues with immigration as long as they are not extending their stay in-country.

Depends on if you like it or not. Im very proud to say about 50% of our dtv studentsnat tiger eye renew after the original package expires and come to train regularly.

That being said, others who just did it for the visa dont seem to have any issues with immigration. I keep up with past applicants regularly to stay up to date.

After completion of the 6-month course they throw you in a cage match with a 300 lb gorilla, if you survive you're free to leave the country, if not, well, you have to sign up for the course again.

If you extend via immigration you would need to show continued gym membership.

wait, so you would have to keep doing the soft power activity forever, into perpetuity, for the entire 5 years (if you always extend each year)?

If you go to an immigration office to extend your 6mths you have to show continued membership. Just leaving and re entering there is no mandatory requirement to show proof of continued membership
