TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement to book flights before applying for a Thailand TR visa varies by embassy. Some embassies, like the one in Vancouver, do not require flight bookings but do need flight numbers. Others, such as the UK embassy, may insist on booked and paid return flights due to specific visa exceptions. Ultimately, it is advisable to check with your local Thai embassy for their specific requirements.

Not all Thai embassies have the same process, check with your local embassy for the type of visa you are using.

Depends on the local embassy and they’re requirements.
In Vancouver Canada it was not required to have bookings. Just to have flight numbers you intended to take.

Not fair we need to pay everything on the visa application. Is it big deal if people will have the visa first and only on the coe stage, begin to book flight ASQ insurance and everything
