Is an outbound flight required when applying for a Non-Immigrant O visa for Thailand?
when apply non immigrant O visa, I only plan to buy the inbound air flight. However is the outbound (return flight) required?
Answer summary
When applying for a Non-Immigrant O visa, having a return flight booked is not explicitly required, but it is advisable. Past experiences indicate that while some travelers were not asked about their outbound flight, others faced scrutiny, particularly in recent travels. Booking a cheap local flight as a precaution is recommended.

Go back a couple of years and I was never asked but I always had a return booked, but recently when coming back from Vietnam I was stopped and asked and I have heard that they do ask more people now, so I would advise that you have something booked that would take you out of Thailand yes, maybe just a cheap local flight to Vietnam for £50
