Did you purchase your return flight for 60 days or 90 days (based on extension) Was curious if COE is given if 90 day return flight.

So you only need the covid insurance when you enter Thailand? when getting extensions you do not need covid insurance?

I am married to a Thai. But I have been in the States for over a year... If I get the cov19 Insurance so I can enter back into Thailand. When the time comes for me to get an extension I will not need to show proof of Covid Insurance at that time?

 they have a 60 day entry stamp from a single entry tourist visa so they do NOT need insurance to get either the regular 30 day extension or the 60 day covid one

 Suggest that you check with immigration as I have read that medical insurance might be compulsory for all foreigners

 I think the operative words in your statement are "might be" <- which means at this time there is nothing of the sort in effect AT ALL
