You may not need a visa for a short stay in Thailand if you're eligible for a 30-day visa exemption stamp upon arrival. However, ensure you complete the Thailand Pass process to receive your QR code prior to your arrival.

Depending on which country you are from you will be able to enter under a 30 days visa exempt stamp. You will still need to do the Thailand Pass to get your QR code before you arrive.
