If you have an ED visa that still have 12 months lect.

And you go back your hometown for 2 weeks.

Do you you need to buy a return ticket?

Or is a single ticket enough? (From your hometown to Thailand )

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you hold an Education visa (ED visa) with a remaining validity of 12 months, you do not need to purchase a return ticket when leaving Thailand for two weeks. Instead, you should obtain a reentry stamp before leaving the country.

Just get a reentry stamp.

An Education visa/extension is a non-immigrant visa intended for long term stays in Thailand. You will not be required to show proof of onward travel to leave Thailand when traveling to Thailand.
