Can I travel back to my home country monthly while on an ED Visa in Thailand?
Hi all. I want to get an ED Visa. But I have a remote job from back home and have to go back every month for a week. So basically 3 weeks Chiang mai and 1 week home (hong kong) every month. Will it be an issue? I know I have to get re entry permits at the airport. Beyond that, will it be an issue to say I'm traveling as part of my job once a month?
Answer summary
The user inquires about the implications of holding an ED Visa while maintaining a remote job in Hong Kong, requiring monthly trips back home for one week. They express concerns about potential issues regarding travel purposes and compliance with visa regulations, and mention the need for re-entry permits.

OPThanks Garrett Greenwald. I will be attending it for sure. They won't say anything if I say I'm going for work?

Your reason for leaving is none of their business and they wont ask. Theyre only interested in why you are entering and you have a genuine visa and reason to.
