TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) does not currently require monitoring of attendance by Immigration, unlike Educational (ED) visas. While there is concern that future regulations may change, presently, immigration does not check attendance as a condition of the visa. However, some individuals have reported being questioned about their DTV upon entry, with a few denied entry due to alleged non-attendance in specific programs, suggesting some scrutiny may still exist in certain cases.

The visa is valid for 5 years, Immigration does not check the reason of issue at arrival.

They do check all documents if you apply for an Extension of Stay and that is the reason most DTV holders run abroad to avoid these checks.

Some people enjoy taking a holiday every few months and would do it regardless. Not everyone is getting by on a pension and are a prisoner here.

Anonymous participant 751 Everyone is different. I didn't exit Thailand in six years by choice. No need to. Have a shop to open. Thai relatives to visit. Take short breaks in Thailand.

No monitoring of attendance by Immigration. It's a tourist visa.
